| This
collection of artwork began as a labor of love. On a shoestring
budget, with only a pen and a sketchpad, the encouragement of his family
and seeking God's guidance throughout, Darryl began drawing again.
In the fall of 2001, after 25 years, he put "pen to paper" and
recreated his vision of Jesus. It is the first piece in this
collection, entitled "Jesus John 10:10."
The
drawings were done with charcoal and graphite pencils and with
fine-point pens. The originals are 18" x 24". They
are incredibly intricate and most have images within images. A magnifying glass will allow
you to truly enjoy this artwork.
Currently,
guides have been prepared for two of the pieces ("Woman at the Well" and
"Joseph Reveals Himself to His Brothers")
and most will have their own "Guide Through the Art of a Seeker's
Vision." These guides identify the hidden images, share the
Bible story that the piece is based on and tell about the artist and the
collection. All
prints are printed on museum quality, acid-free archival paper. |
